Ericsson is one of network leading in the world, also in Indonesia. Their customer is big network operator such as Telkomsel, Indosat and XL. In Indonesia, the biggest operator is Telkomsel. Telkomsel is the service leader of cellular telecommunications services in Indonesia with more than 52 million customers. Telkomsel provides GSM cellular services in Indonesia, through its own nationwide Dual band 900/1800 MHz GSM/GPRS/Wi-Fi/EDGE/3G/HSDPA network, and internationally, through 288 international roaming partner all over the world. Telkomsel also the first operator in Indonesia to launch 3G services in September 2006 and had the biggest 3G community with 5.5 million subscribers in 111 cities.
With Telkomsel, now Ericsson have duty to supply Mobile Softswitch Solution (MSS), including the new MSC Server Blade Cluster. Telkomsel wanna Ericsson give some solution such as provide a common core network platform for both GSM and WCDMA technology and boost Telkomsel’s network capacity, performance and coverage. Well, I think with this technology, Telkomsel will be the biggest in all services. Even Indosat wellknown have best services in Value added services.

I just feel surprise when know that we have so many GSM user. According to data from GSM Association, now GSM operator all around the world have 3 Billion subscriber. The third billion landmark has been reached just four years after the GSM industry surpassed its first billion, and just two years from the second billionth connection. This is make telco industry realy fast rapid growing up. For your information, 3 Billion has been surpassed just 17 years after the first GSM network launch in 1991. And today more than 700 mobile operators across 218 countries and territories of the world are adding new connections at the rate of 15 per second, or 1.3 million per day. Just in Indonesia, we have almost 100 milllion numbers of telco subscriber. Indonesia has many 5 GSM operators such as Telkomsel, Indosat, XL, 3 Hutchison and Axis Mobile.

According to press release that send to my email, Huawei informs that they has been chosen by Etisalat, the leading integrated service provider in the Middle East to build a large-scale commercial Fiber to the Home (FTTH) network in the United Arab Emirates. The planned GPON FTTH network by Etisalat would provide ultra high speed connectivity for families and businesses through the use of optical line terminal (OLT) and optical network terminals (ONT). These terminals can accommodate various application scenarios such as commercial buildings, residential apartments and villas. By the end of 2008, Etisalat expects its customer base with direct access to FTTH to be in the hundreds of thousands. Read the rest

I just get email from Nokia Siemens, they announced that Indonesia’s biggest mobile service provider Telkomsel will be using the company’s market-leading location based services (LBS) solution in its mobile network. The new solution enables Telkomsel to extend its value added services through applications such as Advertising, Information Finder and Friend Finder for its 50 million active subscribers throughout Indonesia. Nokia Siemens Networks will integrate its future-proof and cost-effective intelligent Gateway Mobile Location Centre (iGMLC) platform into Telkomsel’s mobile network.

Today, sony vaio launch new products in Indonesia. This is Vaio FZ series, CR Series and TZ series. Vaio wellknown as vendor for premium laptops. So, this three new series will be in high price if compare with others. Now Im still wait for launching time in this event, so I cant tell you more :D
